Postpartum Recovery Favorites

These are all my go-to postpartum recovery favorites! Short and sweet list of the things I used consistently and recommend that everyone put on their list.

  • Baobei Compression Leggings: These are without a doubt my #1 recommendation for postpartum for everybody! I lived in these for the first few months. The band is ultra high-waisted and ultra compressive. It didn’t lose its compressive effect as the weeks went on and even today they still fit very snug and tight, I just roll the waistband down a little more now. Add them to your list! • Baobei Compression Bloomers: These combined with the compression leggings are chef’s kiss. Perfect for when I went out of the house in those early days. I would prioritize the leggings because they are more compressive, but these were absolutely perfect for the first few weeks postpartum while my belly was shrinking down and core function was at 0% lol. If you have the ability, I recommend having both. (15% off with “maryannevoves”)

  • Belly Band - Bellies Inc: Everybody needs a belly band. Do not let people let you think this is a waist trainer and only for cosmetic purposes! I had a 4 finger diastasis that went down to nothing by 3 weeks and I attribute a large part of that to this belly band. Compression is extremely necessary in those early weeks. Your core literally isn’t functional, yet you still have to move around, hold a baby, and do your daily activities with minimal core function.

  • Earth Mama Perineal Spray: So refreshing and super clean ingredients. I loved it! I didn’t have much pain postpartum, but I had light bleeding for 8 weeks and I used this until then. Calendula is very healing for tissues.

  • Earthley Herbal Soak: These herbs were surprisingly so healing for the postpartum baths. I felt so relaxed in the bath and I really did feel less irritated after taking the bath. I would use these herbs with epsom salts and soak for 20 minutes.

  • Upside Down Peri Bottle: Much easier to use than the bottles they give you at the hospital. Pack this in your bag!

  • Rael Undies and Pads: The undies are very comfy and the overnight pads are extra wide in the back.

  • Yoni Oil: I used this oil in the last trimester of pregnancy and then again around 8 weeks postpartum. I recommend everyone use an oil regularly on the perineum during postpartum while hormones are low and tissues are dry. I was using Jojoba Oil before pregnancy and then decided to get something with essential oils for a more therapeutic effect during pregnancy. I am obsessed with this brand and all of Nadine Artemis’ products.

  • FridaMom Ice Packs and Disposable Undies: These ice packs are incredible. So soothing and easy to use.
